COVID-19 brought the underground music, art and production scene to a screeching, painful halt. Shows, events, and festivals were unceremoniously canceled for the foreseeable future. While this was devastating to us as passionate music fans and devoted attendees of music-related gatherings, our devastation paled in comparison to the dire financial situations that this Great Cancellation put our industry family into.

CouchFam was created in response to the quarantine to be a place for those of us stuck at home to be able to enjoy the music and art that was taken away from us by the pandemic, as well as a hub for artists to post their live streams so we can support them in a time when they need support the most. Live streams were never intended to fully replace live shows; however, we believe that streaming can and should be considered an additional revenue stream for artists and we will continue to support streamers after the pandemic ends.
